Flatbed Only — Tesla's Own Requirement
Tesla's owner manual explicitly states that all Model S, 3, X, Y, and Cybertruck vehicles must be transported on a flatbed with all wheels off the ground. Towing with any wheels on the road can cause permanent damage to the motors and power electronics. Our flatbeds meet this requirement on every tow.
Transport Mode & Tow Eye
Teslas can be put into Transport Mode through the touchscreen when the 12V battery is functional, which keeps the parking brake released for flatbed loading. Cybertruck and some models have specific tow eye locations. Our drivers are familiar with Tesla-specific loading procedures.
Dead 12V Battery Situations
If your Tesla's 12V auxiliary battery is dead (separate from the main drive battery), the car may not respond to the key fob and cannot be put in Transport Mode normally. We know the procedure to safely load a Tesla with a dead 12V without damaging the vehicle.
